les alberes forest - tile cut print 1977

this cut was done directly looking at the landscape without any previous drawing study, probably when i realize the importance of ‘texture’ to create a ‘cut’, the variety of the ‘design’ of the different leaves for example seems to be ideal in clarity to compose the image – the dark and the light is created by ‘variation design’ rather by the classical westerner approach of defining an image by shades – and in this case even so during a hot summer afternoon it is indeed shade that the body looks for to cool down, the eye did not get fooled by this, it directed me to the richness of shapes variety…

this prove the fact that unless what one willing to looks with is his/her EYES instead of always trying to drill into IDEAS on ones mind, which means most of the time recycling other of other of other…minds ideas, nothing can come to discover and understand with our guts what se rounds and interact with us…
