3 Haitian trumpet players –  linoleum print

...words such as” heritage, languages, social, cohesion” have been cluttering my mind for hours. This are the key words given for my next assignment, one can always elaborate endlessly about them but how to express this without being bounce into a world of ‘déja vu’? The ultimate answer could be stepping out of one’s room, there is no magical  formula inside its walls – removing ourselves from stagnation,  taking a walk, having the stucked blood flowing again inside without having to fall into the seductive alienation of a gym stair master.

With some hope, a little will and mainly a tremendous amount of luck, overpowering the most irritating and exasperating disharmonious brutal city  noises, you might encounter in a near by park a group of old high schools blowing trumpets buddies from Haiti that will connect you back to your own roots at once … better that you can ever dream, coming from their heart.  Considering this revolting days of rare ‘petit’ cash, it’s all yours free of charge .

But them, soon it will be time to take their generous gift, their inspiration, the flux of life they have given you …and consider re-enter the empty ‘chamber’, intending to re-create your ‘own’ participatory  present with the ultimate hope to pass it  as an offer to others…

It is very interesting to hear what your inspiration or starting point was and to see the process.
